ANIMAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES May 2, 2012
Chair Martin Haspel called the meeting to order at 6:53pm on Wednesday, May
2, 2012, in the Small Meeting Room at Eastham Town Hall.
Attending: Martin Haspel, Kerry A. Reid, William O'Shea, Joanne Baldauf
A motion by Kerry Reid, seconded by William O'Shea, to approve the minutes of the January 4, 2012, meeting as edited
(sp) was approved unanimously.
In response to an April11, 2012, communication from Mary Beth O'Shea in regards to the members of the AAC's need to complete the State Ethics Commission • Conflict of Interest Training by May 1, 2012, it was noted that all members had done so and had submitted their paperwork to the appropriate contact(s).
Kerry Reid and Martin Haspel will represent the Animal Advisory Committee at the June 2, 2012, second annualChairpersons event to be held at Town Hall from 10:00am to 12:00pm. This informational experience may produce interested persons to serve on various town committees.
Citing a prospective volunteer's time away and lack of humane society or training experience, Chair Haspel suggested re-contacting Bronwyn Bresnahen (French bulldog breeder as well as obedience a ormation competitor). Joanne Baldauf volunteered to contact Dr. Joan Goffe
(veterinarian) after the doctor returns in late May from a trip to Russia. Chair Haspel volunteered to check the membership of the CCKC to see if there might be any persons on their roster interested in serving on the AAC.
A motion by William O'Shea and seconded by Kerry Reid to adjourn passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:08pm.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 6:30pm in the Small Meeting Room at Town Hall.
